How We Work With Rescues

Rescue is the placement of animals into accredited organizations that will re-home, or in other words, adopt them to families who have been screened through an application process.

Animals in need of rescue come from a variety of sources including shelters, puppy mills, and individuals who can no longer care for their pets because they are elderly, disabled or have medical issues. Animals may also be relinquished to rescues because of a court order.

Critter Crusaders has established rescue partnerships. These relationships are based on trust and good animal assessment. We work alongside our partner rescues to provide continuity of medical care and the best possible outcomes for our animals.

Although our focus is based on local rescues, through the years we’ve formed partnerships outside the area to help place animals. Critter Crusaders has helped place hundreds of dogs and cats in foster-based no kill rescues throughout the United States which include Colorado, Connecticut, South Dakota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, New York, Illinois and Minnesota.
